Sonia Gandhi hospitalized, reported stable

NEW DELHI: Congress president Sonia Gandhi was on Thursday admitted to Delhi's Sir Ganga Ram Hospital for a reported infection in the lower respiratory tract.

PTI quoting Congress general secretary Ajay Maken reported the Congress president has been admitted to the hospital for further treatment of the infection.


Her condition was stable, a hospital official said.


According to an IANS report, Sonia Gandhi was admitted to the hospital around 5pm on Thursday. It report further said the Congress president was admitted under the care of Arup Kumar Basu, senior consultant in the chest medicine department.
