Adult website Pornhub disclosed people looked up all things kinky to do with the Emerald Isle on Tuesday.
Although the little man with a ginger beard and pot of gold may not be the most typical fantasy, there are plenty of people who want to see their lucky clovers.
Pornhub said searches for leprechauns rose by 9,325 per cent on our national holiday compared to regular day.
It was more Fifty Shades Of Grey than 40 shades of green after requests containing the word Irish soared by 625 per cent.
Even St Patrick's Day wasn't safe as there were almost 6,000 per cent more people looking up the annual celebration online than usual.
It seems we wanted to do much more than watch a parade or down a pint of stout as Pornhub said people watched 5 per cent more X-rated content than usual.
Lepriporn author Peter Ganley revealed he wasn't surprised to hear leprechauns are getting people hot under the collar.
The writer and his co-host Chris Greene latched on to the Fifty Shades craze earlier this month and created a satirical version called Ravaged By The Leprechaun for their Channel 4 show Craic Addicts.
What started as a joke ended up being a huge success. Ganley said: "There's now a thriving mythical creature erotica market online and all the books follow the same premise - an innocent girl is kidnapped by a dirty monster who forces them to do all sorts of naughty things.
"Our book Ravaged By The Leprechaun promised a Celtic twist with this weird sub-genre. Our mission was to write the most unsexy book of all time.
"Even though our book was a total p***-take, to our utter surprise Amazon published it and soon real people were buying it online. For real money."
Ganley claimed this wasn't enough for some readers, adding: "This is when things got weird. It leapt up the charts and suddenly very serious mommy-monster-porn enthusiasts [mainly from the US] were impulse buying our masterpiece."
He said the pair have seen rip-off shows and have been given suggestions for spicing up potential sequels.
Ganley added: "We've even received emails from a porn director in Los Angeles who found the whole thing amusing and said although low-budget leprechaun porn movies had been made in the past, maybe this is a sign the mainstream audience is finally ready to 'get lucky'."
The National Leprechaun Museum in Dublin was contacted for comment on but a spokeswoman said she had never heard of leprechaun-themed porn.
