The party is expected to disband the organization at the central level after calling a meeting of the office bearers soon. Demotion and removal of non-performing ministers would follow along with action against those, who betrayed the party candidates.
Sources said SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav is reviewing election results at organizational as well as government levels.
Akhilesh is getting feedback from the candidates to know where the government failed collectivity and at individual level due to poor performance of ministers.
Mulayam and Akhilesh have decided the departments having direct bearing on the masses should be made pro-active and accountable.
"The old guard like Ahmed Hasan, Ram Govind Chaudhary, Awadhesh Prasad, who have failed to make any impact are likely to be removed or demoted. Akhilesh now wants less interference of elders and more freedom in the day to day functioning of his government. He is in no mood to carry his father's baggage," said a source.
The chief minister reportedly has reservation against controversial ministers like Azam Khan and Raghuraj Pratap Singh. But since the two enjoy sympathy of their communities — Rajputs and Muslims — they may remain untouched.
