Govt has lost control, it should resign, opposition says

NEW DELHI: The BJP once again targeted the government over the falling rupee and the market mayhem.

BJP leader Yashwant Sinha expressed concern over the condition of rupee and the market.

He said the government has lost control over the situation.

There is only one way out, the government should resign and call fresh elections, Yashwant Sinha said.

CPI leader Gurudas Dasgupta warned that the rupee will soon breach the 70-mark.

We are heading for economic emergency, the CPI leader said.

He said the government is totally inactive and has no political will to handle the situation.

He accused the government of abdicating its responsibility.

Govt should not leave everything to the market and should initiate emergency steps, Gurudas Dasgupta said.

The CPI leader hit out at finance minister Chidambaram, blaming him for the mess.
