Kumari Selja says Modi is taking credit for UPA's projects

PINJORE: Former Union minister and Rajya Sabha MP Kumari Selja on Saturday blamed the NDA government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of taking credit of the projects conceived by the UPA. Selja was in HMT Colony here to address a public meeting to campaign for Manvir Gill, Congress candidate from Kalka assembly constituency.

Selja had asked the HMT workers to reciprocate to the initiative of a special package given to their factory by the Congress last year. "Modi ji and BJP took credit of the Jammu-Katra railway line and success of Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) despite the fact that these two projects had a long gestation period. There are more such important projects, which are near completion. Modiji should have shown some grace while taking the credit," remarked Selja.

She also discredited talks of Modi wave and Om Prakash Chautala's campaign for INLD making any impact on her party's performance in the state assembly polls. "The Modi bubble has been already burst. Assembly polls have different issues. Moreover, BJP has totally failed to deliver. INLD, too, has failed to make any impact in Haryana," said Selja.

Referring to her own party, Selja admitted that exodus of Congress leaders had an impact. On the other hand, she denied that she continued to have grudge against chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. "There are other responsibilities in the organization. We are working like a team and our mission is to ensure that the Congress forms the government for the third time," she claimed.
