Job Purpose
To enhance the donor experience of individual supporters with Save the Children by working with in house team and other departments in the organisation, thereby strengthening the donors relationship with the organisation and augmenting the fundraising income.
Main responsibilities
- Work closely with the donor development manager to improve donor servicing, operations, communication material and augment fundraising incomes.
- Coordinate with the marketing offices to oversee the fulfilment of donor support received through the various fundraising campaigns.
- Provide prompt, accurate and effective responses to donors queries, especially pertaining to fundraising campaigns such as upgrade, reactivation, retention, direct mailers, emergency appeal, in a timely and professional manner and escalate as and when necessary.
- Oversee the donor stewardship including gift entries, sending of acknowledgements, and requests for renewals, reactivations, upgrades and donor meetings, as and when required.
- Coordinate with the various departments and external agencies to implement the activities as outlined in the donor communications calendar.
- Map the bounced mailers and e-mails. Execute data integrity projects including returned mails, address updates, merge and inactivation processes.
- Prepare and share MIS for the various fundraising campaigns, donor queries and cancellation requests as per the agreed schedule and format.
- Assign voluntary leads to the concerned offices and coordinate their pick-ups.
- Maintain a stock for the communication material required by the marketing offices.
- Assist in donor cultivation and stewardship activities including project visits for donors, as and when needed.
- Promote the work of Save the Children communicating both internally and externally, in an accurate and sensitive manner.
Experience:
7 or more years of relevant experience in a competitive market environment.
Minimum experience of 4 years in a customer centric role.
Preference will be given to people who have worked in multinational banks in a customer relationship management role.
Professional/Personal Competencies
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to gather and summarize information including numerical and financial data.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
Willingness to travel within India.
Willingness to work irregular hours when the job dictates (such as for events, in emergency response times etc).
