A US study has found that women who undergo infertility treatment are at a higher risk of suffering from a stroke compared to those who conceive spontaneously. The study, which analyzed data from over 3 million women in the US, discovered that those who received infertility treatment had a 66% increased risk of being hospitalized due to stroke within 12 months of delivery. The study also revealed that obesity, hypertension, and diabetes, which are known risk factors for stroke, are more common in women with infertility issues.
