US defense secretary Lloyd Austin has voiced concerns over China’s "coercive and risky" behavior towards Philippine vessels in the oil and gas-rich area of the South China Sea. The warning came after the Philippine military revealed that 48 Chinese fishing vessels had been "swarming" the area.Thursday, 6 July 2023
