The researchers tested how long the virus could remain infectious at room temperature on a variety of surfaces. On printing & tissue paper it lasted less than 3 hours. On treated wood and cloth, it had disappeared by the 2nd day. On glass and banknotes, it was still evident on the 2nd day but had gone by the 4th. On stainless steel & plastic it was present from 4 to 7 days.
