President Trump’s claim that the US military has been completely rebuilt under his administration at a cost of $2.5 trillion had triggered an uprush of pride (among militarists), outrage (among peaceniks) and partisanship, even as the figures are being challenged given the President’s reputation for hyperbole and exaggeration.
