Satyam scam case: Raju and other accused appeal against trial court judgment

HYDERABAD: Satyam Computers founder B Ramalinga Raju and seven other accused in the Satyam scam case, who were earlier sentenced to a seven year jail term by a trial court, on Monday approached the metropolitan sessions court at Hyderabad with an appeal against the trial court order.

Ramalinga Raju, his brother Rama Raju, former PwC auditors S Gopalakrishnan and Talluri Srinivas, finance wing officials G Ramakrishna, D Venkatapathi Raju and Ch Srisailam filed their appeals. Satyam's CFO Vadlamani Srinivas and internal auditor V S Prabhakar Gupta have not yet filed their appeals. The judge posted the case to April 15 for deciding the maintainability of these cases before a sessions court.
