Fresh summons issued to Fabindia MD and CEO in Irani voyeurism case

PANAJI: After failing to adhere to the summons issued by the crime branch of Goa police, crime branch on Tuesday issued second summons to Fabindia managing director (MD) William Bissell and chief executive officer (CEO) Subrata Dutta to appear before the crime branch on Thursday in union HRD minister Smriti Irani voyeurism case.

Crime branch superintendent of police Karthik Kashyap told TOI that fresh summons have been issued to Bissell and Dutta to appear before the crime branch on Thursday at 10am.


The CCTV camera and digital video recorder (DVR) from the store has been attached by the crime branch and sent to the central forensic science laboratory (CFSL), Hyderabad, for analysis.


The four accused persons, who were arrested by Calangute police after Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani was filmed while trying out some clothes at an outlet in Candolim, were released on conditional bail on Saturday evening.
