NEW DELHI: A day after being assigned to investigate the mysterious suicide case of a farmer at Jantar Mantar, the crime branch has dispatched a team to Dausa, Rajasthan, for a background check of the deceased.
"We have sent a team to Gajendra's village to find out more about him, from his village. The team has been asked to speak to his relatives and the local administration as well," a senior cop said.
The local police has handed over the case documents and the FIR (lodged under abetment) to the crime branch.

The crime branch team is waiting for the autopsy and forensic reports. The team is also collecting video footages and analyzing them. The scene of crime will be reconstructed to ascertain the sequence of events.
