Fake degree row: Kejriwal seeks clarification from Tomar

NEW DELHI: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has sought a clarification from law minister Jitender Singh Tomar over allegations that his law degree was fake, according to TV reports.

Congress has sought immediate dismissal of Tomar and has threatened to stage protest if he is not removed immediately.

The Delhi law minister has, however, claimed that his law degree was completely genuine and has refused to step down over the allegations.

"My degree is 100 per cent genuine," Tomar told reporters as Congress stepped up pressure on Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal to sack the minister.

Speaking to reporters he said the truth will come out in the court.
