Labourers were employed by Ganesh Patidar, a resident of Runji locality of Gautampura town in Depalpur tehsil, two months ago for excavating his land. During excavation work, labourers found a copper pitcher filled with silver coins. Five of them divided the coins among each other. The house owner didn't get to know any of this. On Tuesday afternoon, two labourers fought over unequal distribution of coins and the information reached Patidar, he then informed police.
Gautampura police station in charge Hakam Singh Pawar told TOI that on the complaint of Ganesh Patidar, Sultan Khan, one of the labourers, was taken into custody. As many as 240 silver coins have been recovered from Sultan and as per his statement, about 750 more are in possession of Sattar, Nasir, Nazeer and Devkaran, which will be recovered after their arrest.
