AAP cadres distribute 'cheapest' toffees to celebrate party's sweetest victory in Delhi

MADURAI: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) cadres in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, on Tuesday celebrated party's landslide victory in the New Delhi assembly elections.

As the election results started trickling in, AAP members who assembled at the Periyar bus stand and Palanganatham here started dancing and cheering.

They also distributed toffees worth Re 1 each to passersby.

One passerby was heard asking an AAP member who distributed the toffees: "Why are you celebrating such a big victory by distributing the miserly Re 1 toffees?"

Pat came the reply, "We are AAP remembers, and our leader Arvind Kejriwal's first instruction to us is that we should not be exorbitant. Our sweets are the cheapest and the sweetest."

And the celebrations and distribution of toffees continued.
