PM Modi not against 'ghar wapsi': Kerala BJP

KOCHI: Defending the controversial 'ghar wapsi' campaign, BJP state vice-president MT Ramesh said here on Sunday that conversion of those who had left the Hindu fold is legitimate.

"Ghar wapsi is not a new phenomenon. Converted Hindus coming back to their faith is a continuing process. If conversion is legitimate, reconversion is also lawful. How can reconversion alone be illegitimate", Ramesh asked.

He was speaking on the sidelines of a promotional event of Veer Savarkar Institute of Business Studies (VSIBS), a business school initiative by Jwala Trust of Hindu working professionals.
