During the course of the rally, the outfit's members will perform a 'bhumi pujan' at Bhaptamau village, where a statue of Godse will be installed later, said Kamlesh Tiwari, the Hindu Mahasabha's national working president. He said the idea was to install the statue before the 'bhumi pujan' for the temple in Sitapur is performed on January 30.

Asked if permission for the rally had been obtained from the administration, Tiwari said an SMS had been sent to the officials concerned, informing them about the 'Jan Jagran Bike Rally'. Tiwari said there was nothing illegal in Godse being eulogized. "Has the government or any court of law convicted him of treason charges?" he said.
