DELHI: The ministry of environment and forests has given clearance for the installation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's statue in the Arabian Sea in Mumbai.
This decision was announced by Prakash Javadekar, Union minister for environment and forests in a press conference held at Maharashtra Sadan on Thursday.
The Rs 400 crore project will be built on a 16 hectare rock, identified at 1.5km away from the Raj bhawan and 4km from Nariman point.
