Railway minister Sadananda Gowda's son faces arrest in rape, cheating case

NEW DELHI: Union railway minister Sadananda Gowda's son faces arrest after a Bangalore court on Thursday issued an arrest warrant for him.

Karthik Gowda failed to appear before police even as the second notice issued to him expired on Wednesday.

A Sandalwood actress, who claims to be his wife, has accused Karthik of raping and cheating her.

He had also ignored a previous notice asking him to appear before police.

In a related development, the actress filed another complaint with RT Nagar police on Wednesday night. In her complaint, she has accused director Rishi and Nehal Gowda of tarnishing her image in the media.

RT Nagar police officials said they have received the complaint and will register an FIR after studying the legal issues.
