Arun Jaitley undergoes surgery in Delhi hospital

NEW DELHI: Finance minister Arun Jaitley on Tuesday underwent a successful laparoscopic procedure at a hospital here.

"Arun Jaitley underwent a planned elective laparoscopic procedure for diabetes management under Pradeep K Chowbey at the Max Super Specialty Hospital, Saket, today (Tuesday)," a statement from the hospital said.

"The procedure has been performed successfully," it added.

Jaitley was admitted to the hospital on Monday evening.
