He had earlier sought to keep CBI director Ranjit Sinha away from the 2G scam probe, the hearing of which will begin on Monday.
Filing the application for NGO 'Common Cause', Bhushan said Ranjit Sinha, who had earlier unauthorizedly shared coal scam status probe report with executives, along with senior officers allegedly repeatedly overruled investigating officers and forced them not to register FIRs in the coal scam.
Bhushan alleged that the CBI director and senior officers forced investigating officers to file closure reports in cases where FIRs have been filed in coal scam cases.
Quoting visitor entry register at the CBI director's residence, Bhushan alleged that Sinha had several meetings with Vijay Darda and his son Devendra Darda, who were investigated in a case of illegal allocation of coal block.
