Job responsibilities-
To work as part of the can kids clinical team at the DCT H(Day Care /Transition Home). Admitting children referred for admission and agreeing a management plan, prescribing medication and monitoring their treatment. Reviewing all children at the centre each day and attending to their medical needs. Communicating regularly with their parents and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
To see patients referred for outpatient care and to manage their pain and symptoms, working closely with the nursing staff and referring to other can kids services as necessary
To work with members of the multidisciplinary team to develop day care services in collaboration with the medical director and nursing team.
Strong interpersonal communication skills

A unit of the Indian Cancer Society, CanKids strives to ensure the best possible treatment and care, socioeconomic support, emotional and psychological support, effective reintegration into society during and after treatment, and continuity of care through survivorship, relapse, palliation, or loss. CanKids operates a National Outreach Program across the country, with units at various cancer centers.
