Well, this is how he did it. He used no conventional equipment. He chose not to have any commercial elements like songs and comedy. But more importantly, he struck a deal with everyone who was involved in the film that they would not be paid any money. He told them they would be paid only from the profits of the film. Those who liked the idea sailed with him and those who did not went their way. In their place, someone else came. So, nothing was paid out of the production cost for anyone.
The amount that he spent was for the rent of the building, the one location, where the entire film was shot. And some amount was spent for tea and coffee. The two characters in the film - Navdeep and Tejaswi - wore their own clothes.
The crew had breakfast at home and came to the spot and brought along with them their own lunch. Making use of the flow-cam technology, Ram Gopal Varma said he was able to reduce 90 per cent of manpower.
