Congress leader Vivek Khandelwal filed a petition against Vaidik for his controversial statement over Kashmir and meeting with most wanted terrorist in the court of first class judicial magistrate VP Sharma under section 124 A (sedition) and 132 (abetment to mutiny) of IPC. Court admitted the petition and set date of August 5 for hearing in the case wherein petitioner will record their statements.
Counsellor of petitioner Ashish Shrivastav said charges are very serious and Vaidik will be in serious legal trouble. "So many people have been sentenced under sedition for giving objectionable statement. The section is very strong and statement of Vaidik is highly objectionable," said Shrivastav.
Petitioner Vivek Khandelwal said union government should arrest Vaidik without any delay. "Even for organizing small political protest administration and intelligence official asks us several question, here some one go to Pakistan and meet India's most wanted terrorist Hafiz Saeed and still he is roaming free," said Khandelwal adding that intelligence official should interrogate Vaidik to know what discussion he has with Saeed.
On top of this Vaidik give an interview of Pakistan's new channel and say objectionable things about Kashmir. "This is insult to hundreds of soldiers who had sacrificed their live while fighting in Kashmir," said Khandelwal adding that his statement can cause mutiny in armed forces. His act is threat to national security and integrity.
