JAMMU: Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire agreement along the International Border in Jammu & Kashmir on Saturday by firing at a forward Indian post in Arnia sector.
The ceasefire violation came on a day when Chief of Army Staff General Bikram Singh arrived on a two-day visit to the state to review security situation along the border.
Sources said, "Pakistan troops at around 8.45am fired four to five rounds at forward Stop-2 Post in Arnia Sector.''
"No injury or damage has been reported in the exchange of fire,'' they added.
Singh will visit the Northern Command headquarters at Udhampur on Sunday as well as forward areas to boost morale.
