Be a subject matter expert. The incumbent is expected to be intimately familiar with the course content and should be able to explain everything in detail to a prospective student and answer any queries that he/she may have.
Assist students with the college application process be intimately familiar with the documentation and other formalities that are required for admission.
Assist students with the visa application process guide student on the documents that are usually required, the correct visa category under which the application should be filed, what should and should not be submitted and the application deadlines.
Track competing schools and monitor how their curriculum is evolving over time. Prepare reports for internal consumption. Utilize this intelligence during the counselling process.
Attend internal training sessions that are organized by other education counselors.
Attend all online training sessions that are organized by the Laureate team at regular intervals.
Communicate with leads and prospective students that you are managing via different mediums. Proactively suggest areas of improvement on how we can engage with our leads and prospects in a better manner.
Stay abreast of government policies that impact higher education, especially aspects that pertain to studying abroad.
