Akhilesh foresees Samajwadi Party's prime role in next government

ALLAHABAD: Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav asserted that the third front will form the next government at the Centre and Samajwadi Party will play the most important role. He was addressing a public meeting in a degree college in Sirsa in Allahabad on Sunday.

He took potshots at BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and said that his dream of becoming the Prime Minister will never be realized. He also criticized the Gujarat model of Modi and termed it as 'model to divide India.' He said that there is lot of talk about Gujarat model but people have failed to understand it.


He said that there is no such plan in Gujarat which is equivalent to Uttar Pradesh. However, Samajwadi Party is advancing as we have fulfilled the aspirations of the people within two years of our governance. He also enumerated the achievements of his government in the form of unemployment allowance, Kanya Vidyadhan Scheme, laptop scheme and registration of about 1,72,000 Shiksha Mitras.


He also alleged that BJP is trying to capture power by dividing the people but their plans will never be successful. The party is also spending lots of money in the election campaign.


Yadav also blamed the Mayawati government for its obsession for building statues and wasting public money. He also blamed the past government for not starting even a single power plant. The chief minister said that there was loss of crores in power department in the previous government.


Talking speaking about the power scenario, he said two power plants will be opened in the coming two years for the benefit of the people.


He exhorted the workers to work hard so that maximum number of seats can be won by Samajwadi Party and it could play a crucial role in the formation of the next government at the Centre.
