Police plaints filed against Ramdev

NAGPUR: City NCP leaders condemned yoga guru Baba Ramdev and demanded that police should lodge a case under SC/ST Atrocities Act against him for his controversial remarks about Rahul Gandhi and Dalits.

NCP city president Ajay Patil, along with his supporters, has lodged a police complaint against Ramdev. They submitted a VCD of Ramdev's comments on television to the police. Patil has stated, in a press note, that if a case is not registered against Ramdev his party would stage demonstrations at RBI Square.


Earlier, NCP activists staged a protest against Ramdev and demanded that BJP should make its stand clear on the controversial yoga guru. The activists said that BJP's silence was a reflection of its fascist mindset.


Bheem Sena, a Dalit organization, too lodged a police complaint against Ramdev with the Pachpaoli police station. Akhil Bharatiya Manavta Mahasangh too has demanded action against him. BSP supremo Mayawati is baying for Ramdev's blood forcing him to tender an apology.
