"But we have refrained from boasting. We will continue to work for the betterment of all," he said while addressing a rally in support of party candidate from Phulpur Dharmraj Singh Patel at Rudrapur village of Sahason block.
The CM, in the well attended election rally, claimed that SP is getting better with every consecutive phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha polls and will come out with decisive number of seats.
He also came down heavily on the Congress party rule and said, "the party's policies have left people exasperated and the decade-long misrule have made people suffer because of unemployment and price rise. This has led to a strong anti-incumbency wave and caused a perception that BJP is on the upswing which is illusion".
He said that neither the Congress nor the BJP would form the government at the Centre. After the announcement of results, the Third Front would take the reins of the country.
Reminding the voters about the importance of winning maximum seats in the state, the CM said: "Delhi ka rasta UP se hokar jaata hai aur iss bar SP ki badi bhagidari hogi (the way to Delhi passes through UP and this time SP will play a major role)." He also mentioned achievements and welfare schemes of his government at length.
Rubbishing the claims of Gujarat's development, he said "Modi claims that Gujarat is way ahead of UP in terms of milk production which is an utter lie."
He also condemned BSP supermo Mayawati for erecting her statues at various places during lifetime. "What a waste of public money which could have been used for the betterment of common man of the state".
