VADODARA: Even as Priyanka Vadra asked Narendra Modi to refrain from personal attacks, Mahila Congress national president, Shobha Oza raked up Modi's marital status in Vadodara recently. Oza said that Modi's wife Jashodaben should be awarded as she is a great lady for her dedication and 'tapasya' despite Modi abandoning her. Oza also said that Modi is making India BJP mukt by sidelining all the top BJP leaders at state and national level.
"Jashodaben should be awarded for her dedication. She got married to Modi who left her. Despite that she got educated and worked all life. Modi never acknowledged her wife till recently when he had to declare his marital status in affidavit due to new ECI guidelines. It's God's way of doing justice as she finally got due respect," Oza said during her visit to the city on Friday. She added that Jashodaben spent her life in a small house while Modi snooped on other woman.
When asked about Priyanka's advice of refraining from personal attacks, Oza said that Modi's marital status is not a personal but a legal issue as he had never mentioned his wife's name in the past affidavits.
