AMRITSAR: In a masterstroke by BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi and a major embarrassment to the Congress, ahead of the April 30 Lok Sabha polls in Punjab, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's brother Daljit Singh Kohli joined the BJP on Friday. This has sent ripples across the country.
Addressing the rally, Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal said Kohli knows exactly what Sonia Gandhi has done and yet he has decided to join the BJP.
Modi said, "Kohli joining the BJP has doubled our strength." "We extend a heartfelt welcome to you. You should know we are not just a party of mere memberships, we are a party of relationship. We now have blood relations with you," Modi added.
