JHANSI: Twenty people were feared drowned in Sindhu River near Datiya in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday night. The incident took place in Sewra where 40 members of a family were going to attend a marriage ceremony in a boat which capsized during a storm.
The family belongs to Laach village. They were going to Silisalora on the other side of the river at around 9.00pm when the tragedy occurred. As many as 15 people were rescued with the help of local villagers. Eight bodies have been recovered.
