About Janaagraha


Janaagraha is a 13 year old organisation, working on innovative strategies for improving our cities and our


citizenship. The organisation works on grassroots initiatives, online citizenship platforms, creating


networks between citizens and government to improve the quality of life in our cities.


About the Role:


As an Associate Donor Engagement you will develop and manage the strategy for the engagement


and retention of donors and conversion of new and active donors into sustainable donors. In


addition you will work with the team to develop and implement overall donor strategy and design


donor messaging across all communications channels.


Responsibilities


Develop and implement a strategic plan of action with objectives, timelines and evaluation


plans for the donor engagement calendar.


Work collaboratively with the Planning & Development team on creating new and exciting


opportunities on engagement of donors.


Use multiple channels to engage the donor community, driving measurable results around


core objectives of awareness, engagement and loyalty.


Understand the relationship between hosted communities and mass social media, and how


to effectively foster community across a social ecosystem.


Coordinate a schedule for high-touch donor communications, including preparation of draft


emails, letters, thank you messages etc.


Work with communications team to design collateral and oversee the design and production


of printed resources and marketing materials as needed for events.


Research and stay up to date on non-profit engagement trends.


Participate in donor visits and calls.


Skills


Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Proactive and result driven


Expert understanding of social media across paid, earned and owned mediums


Advanced strategic planning and deployment experience within social media


Experience in managing marketing campaigns from conception through implementation


Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team with diverse individuals


Flexible and self-motivated with exceptional organization and time management skills


Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and


PowerPoint


Fundraising or non-profit experience highly desirable


Qualifications


2+ experience in donor relations, program development or event coordination experience


Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders including


major donors, volunteers and the internal team
