Northern railways launches helpline


LUCKNOW: To help passengers in distress, on board or at stations, railways launched a round-the-clock security helpline - 1332.


It will offer security-related help expeditiously to rail passengers caught in crime situations like thefts, harassment or any other untoward incident on board or at the station.


The helpline will work on divisional model wherein subscribers of all service providers (both land-line and mobile users) can call on the number - 1322 - which will automatically connect to the concerned divisional control office depending upon the location of the user/complainant.


A unique complaint number will be generated and provided to the complainant.


Facility will be available to 731 stations on five divisions- Ambala, Ferozpur, Moradabad, Delhi and Lucknow Divisions of NR.
