He also went on to blame the Congress and said that at first the Congress was ready to support the AAP on an unconditional basis. He also said that without depending on what the Congress said or did, the AAP believes that all those MLAs — irrespective of the party they belong to — who firmly believe in the 18-point charter of issues floated by it, will eventually work responsibly towards resolving those issues.
Kejriwal also announced that the swearing-in ceremony looks unlikely on December 26 because the lieutenant governor is yet to reply to him.
When quizzed about whether the AAP has started working on the issues plaguing the national capital, he said that, "We have already started working on the issues. We are collecting data and the homework has begun." He also mentioned the immediate issues that would be look into and which include the auditing of power companies, free water to households, and the supply of water to colonies where there is no direct supply.
When journalists asked the soon-to-be chief minister about how he would tackle the issue of the Lokpal Bill, Kejriwal said that, according to the Constitution, the Delhi assembly can constitute laws. However, the Centre has levied an order saying that the Delhi assembly will have to first take its permission before passing any laws. He said that he look into the issue further before taking action.
Finally, Kejriwal also touched upon the Anna issue and said that once the date of the swearing-in ceremony is finalized, he will, "talk to Anna personally" and try to connect with him.
