Rahul sings paeans to Hooda govt in Kalanwali

SIRSA: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday addressed a rally in Kalanwali assembly segment of Sirsa, wooing Punjabi voters of Sirsa. Hitting out at SAD (Badal), Rahul said, "I am here in Haryana, the land of players who make India proud and win many medals. What did Akali Dal do in Punjab? It pushed all youths of the state towards drug addiction."

"It is only chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda who can look after "chhattis biradari" (36 communities) and took Haryana to number one position in the country. Haryana is the land of farmers and they got best rates for their produce only during the Congress rule."

Addressing the gathering for over 20 minutes, Rahul also lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "During Lok Sabha elections, Modi fooled the voters by saying that he would take strong action against Pakistan and China. But everyone is seeing how Pakistan is firing across the Line of Control (LoC) due to which innocent civilians are getting killed every day. Modi said he would bring black money within 100 days, but at least I have not seen any black money coming back to India."

"Haryana has the best land acquisition policy. Farmers here are getting a price of Rs 310 per quintal for sugarcane, which is the highest in the country. Congress gave 100 square yards plots to 3.80 lakh poor residents of the state. Poor are provided free treatment and medicines. This is also a fact that Haryana is number one in India and Congress always supported CM Hooda for development. Congress set up a cancer institute, AIIMS, Rajiv Gandhi Education City and Defence University in the state," Rahul said while narrating the projects initiated by his party in Haryana.
