Convener of Aaghaz-e-Dosti Ravi Nitesh told TOI on Sunday that they held their 10th Aman Chaupal in Delhi. Ravi said Aman Chaupal was an interactive session wherein someone from Pakistan interacts with students in a school or college. "The objective of Aman Chaupal is to counter stereotypes and misconceptions. It is to show the side of Pakistan that the media never shows," he said.
He said one of the factor for hatred and misunderstanding among people was lack of communication among them and lack of such real opportunities to know about each other. He said they would be holding similar Aman Chaupals in border areas of Punjab, inviting guests to interact with people and try to dispel myths about both the countries. "People need to know the cultural link between the two nations and how they can benefit if peace prevails on borders," he said.
