Amit Shah guns for UPA, ‘reticent’ former PM

JALNA: BJP chief Amit Shah on Sunday took a dig at former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh saying he always kept silent on various issues in contrast to his successor Narendra Modi who is an "articulate" PM.

He also hit back at Congress chief Sonia Gandhi for demanding an "account of achievements" of the Modi government's first 100 days. "Did Congress give an account of its 60-year reign?" he asked.

Refuting Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's charge that Modi failed to give a "befitting reply" to Pakistan for ceasefire violations at the border, Shah said, "Rahul cannot see what is happening because he is wearing Italian glasses." Agencies
