The BJP leader said since the JD(U) was facing a rout in the elections, Nitish Kumar has reached a secret understanding with Lalu to transfer the party votes to RJD. He said JD(U) president Sharad Yadav has virtually confirmed this understanding between.
Pradhan said the JD(U) would disintegrate after May 16 as the party would not be able to open its account in the election. "Nitish Kumar has broken the hearts of the people of Bihar by snapping alliance with the BJP last year," he said and advised Nitish to go to Varanasi and campaign against Narendra Modi if he was sincere in his campaign against the alleged communalism. He recalled Nitish had campaigned in New Delhi assembly elections too, but faired miserably. He alleged that former MP Mohd Shahabuddin, whose wife Heena Shahab was the RJD nominee from Siwan, was using mobile phones in jail to influence voters.
He also alleged that some media houses were trying to confuse the voters by overplaying the so-called Muslim-Yadav card in Bihar election. They are spreading a sense of fear among the Muslims through their 'analytical reports', the BJP leader alleged. The media was not fair in its assessment and creating a fear psychosis among the Muslims, he said.
Till now, the BJP had been attacked by the Congress, JD(U) and the RJD for projecting a wave in its favour in the media. For the first time, the BJP attacked media houses for being unfair in their analysis on election in Bihar.
Pradhan alleged minorities felt threatened in the Congress-ruled Assam, where about 40 members of the minority community had been killed by Bodo militants. Similarly, in Muzaffarnagar in the SP-ruled Uttar Pradesh, many minority members were killed. Congress and SP were shedding crocodile tears for the Muslims, he alleged.
