Gehlot dares BJP to order inquiry into Vadra deals

JAIPUR: Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday lashed out at BJP over the controversy surrounding the Robert Vadra land deals and challenged the ruling party in the state to order a judicial inquiry into the matter.

Gehlot, while interacting with the media in Jaipur, said, "Let there be a judicial inquiry. Not only into the land deals but all the allegations against my son Vaibhav. However, along with that all allegations against Dushhyant Singh should also be investigated."

Gehlot spoke to the reporters outside Raj Bhawan after a meeting with governor Margaret Alva. The former chief minister met the governor over former legislator Gurusharan Chhabra's agitation and demanding complete prohibition in the state."As part of an agreement with Chhabra, who was on an indefinite fast when we were in power, we had agreed on certain measures. However, the present government is paying no heed even as Chhabra continues with his agitation. I have requested the governor to intervene in the matter,'' he said.
