EC directs media to not publish or broadcast results of opinion polls

The Election Commission on Wednesday directed print and electronic media not to publish or broadcast results of opinion polls for seats where polling has already been completed, warning that this would amount to dissemination of exit poll results in violation of Section 126A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
