MUMBAI: The Pune regional passport office on Tuesday intervened to issue passports to brothers Rahul (16) and Yashwant (11) Shirsath to facilitate their urgent travel to Malaysia. Their mother, Kranti Shirsath, was on the missing Malaysia Airlines flight. Regional passport officer Narendra Singh said the decision to issue the new passports was taken after the ministry of external affairs stepped in to offer help to the family. They will travel with their father Prahlad.
