Essential Qualification:-
i) Good Academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale at the master’s degree level in Sociology / Anthropology /Women Studies / Gender Studies / Political Science / Law / History / Philosophy / Economics / Geography/Commerce/Rural Development.
ii) At least second class Three years bachelors degree with Honours / major in the relevant / allied subjects.
iii) Qualified UGC NET / SLET / SET, or its equivalent.
Desirable Qualification:
i) Ph.D degree in relevant subject.
ii) Research work in the field of Women’s Studies
iii) Publication in journals with ISSN / books with ISBN.

Application forms are available from the Office of the Registrar, University of North Bengal by payment of Rs. 200/- in Cash or may be downloaded from the University Website: www.nbu.ac.in (Recruitment Section). The filled in downloaded application must be accompanied by Crossed Bank Draft of Rs. 200/- in favour of “University of North Bengal” payable at State Bank of India, NBU Campus Branch, (Code: 2096) Siliguri. Filled-in application forms (1 set) along with two self addressed unstamped envelope (25x13cm) and one copy of the recent passport size photograph (identical with the same pasted in the form) and other documents regarding citizenship (by registration), age, qualification and experience duly attested by the candidate may be submitted in the Office of the Registrar, University of North Bengal in person or by post on or before 19.02.2014 till 04.00 P.M.
