AAP files plaint against Gadkari, BJP targets Kejri

NAGPUR: Activists of AAP and BJP have now locked horns by filing cross-complaints against each other's party stalwarts.

City president of BJP's youth wing Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Bunty Kukde, reached Kotwali police station on Friday to lodge a complaint against AAP party supremo and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal for his allegations against BJP's former president Nitin Gadkari.

It was also learnt that Kukde has also lodged a complaint against AAP's Maharashtra state convener Anjali Damania. In his complaint, Kukde has stated that both Kejriwal and Damania should be booked for making baseless allegations against Gadkari leading to incitement of sentiments of party workers.

On the other hand, AAP party activist Jammu Anand claimed to have handed over concrete evidence to Kotwali police against Gadkari for allegedly inciting party men at a meeting of the booth workers at Reshimbagh ground on February 2.

On Wednesday, Anand had filed a written complaint against Gadkari following which cops had summoned the activist to furnish evidence. However, this prompted Kukde to file a complaint against Kejriwal and Damania. Anand visited Kotwali police station on Friday to hand over the evidence against Gadkari.

It was reliably learnt that Kotwali police would now forward both the complaint applications for legal opinion to law officer to seek opinion on lodging complaints.
